In spring 2021 HYPOS startet "HYPOS macht Schule" as an information and knowledge offering especially for students on the subject of renewable energies and green hydrogen. In cooperation with Leipzig high schools, HYPOS has developed project days to introduce the topic of green hydrogen to students from 8th to 10th grade. Within the framework of interactive workshops, students can aquire knowledge like the potentials of green hydrogen as an energy carrier of the future and get acquainted with the manifold job profiles in the renewable energy and hydrogen industry. Together, they are able to work out the path of green gas from production, storage and transport to application. HYPOS macht Schule aims to sensitize the students to the possibilities of a climate-friendly energy supply using renewably produced hydrogen.
HYPOS supports the planning and implementation of these project days with its technical expertise for the topic of green hydrogen in the form of a comprehensive teaching concept including the provision of teaching materials, learning games and application models. In close cooperation with the schools, a target group-oriented teaching concept is created that is tailored to the needs of the school group and ties in with any previous knowledge. The linking of theory and practical application in the transfer of knowledge is considered particularly important. Therefore, the project days will be accompanied by explorations to different hydrogen sites together with HYPOS members in order to illustrate the technologies around green hydrogen to the students.
